Does Nexus Window Stacker replace or modify my NinjaTrader chart windows?
No. Your charts, SuperDOMs, and indicators keep running as real NinjaTrader windows. Window Stacker holds up to 5 of them inside one resizable frame, keeps them locked in place while stacked, and returns them to normal when you release them. You can pick from 16 layout presets (2 to 5 windows in grids, columns, rows, and large-pane splits), drag the dividers, swap panes, or release individual windows whenever you want.
What types of NinjaTrader 8 windows can I stack together?
You can stack any 2 to 5 NinjaTrader 8 windows: charts, SuperDOMs, Market Analyzer, Level II, and more. Popular configurations include 4-chart multi-timeframe grids (e.g. Renko + Order Flow Delta + 1-Hour Trend + 5-Min execution), a tall execution chart beside four context charts, 2-window chart and SuperDOM pairs, or Market Analyzer alongside charts. The NinjaTrader Control Center stays separate.
What layout presets are supported in Nexus Window Stacker?
Window Stacker includes 16 layout presets, grouped by window count. 2 windows: side by side or stacked. 3 windows: large left, large right, columns, rows, large top, or large bottom. 4 windows: 2x2 grid, pair left, pair right, rows, columns, or large bottom. 5 windows: tall left or tall right with a 2x2 grid beside it. Every divider between panes can be dragged.
Can I see a chart before I stack it?
Yes. Each empty window lists your open NinjaTrader windows and shows a preview of the one you pick, candles included, even if that chart is hidden behind other windows. The preview refreshes every few seconds until you stack it.
Can I create more than one window stack at the same time?
Yes. You can open as many Nexus Window Stacker instances as you need. For example, run one 4-chart grid stack on your primary monitor and a separate dual-window stack for correlated futures contracts or depth of market on a secondary screen. Each window belongs to one stack at a time.
Does Window Stacker introduce chart lag or latency?
No. Stacked charts stay real NinjaTrader windows, drawn by NinjaTrader itself. Window Stacker only positions and locks them, with no screen recording, mirroring, or re-rendering of your charts, so orders, candle paints, and data streams remain 100% native. Chart previews in empty windows use NinjaTrader's own chart image and only run for charts you are choosing, not for stacked charts.
How does individual window release work?
Each window has its own chip in the bottom bar with a release button, plus Release All for the whole stack. Releasing returns that window to a normal NinjaTrader window at its current size without disturbing the other stacked windows. Nothing is closed. Choosing a smaller layout also releases the extra windows rather than closing them.
How do I install Window Stacker after purchase?
Download the ZIP from the Downloads page with the email used at checkout. In NinjaTrader 8, go to Control Center > Tools > Import > NinjaScript Add-On. Once imported, open it anytime via Control Center > New > Nexus Window Stacker.
Can I transfer my license if I change computers?
Yes. Each license is tied to your NinjaTrader Machine ID (found under Help > About). If you switch computers or upgrade your machine, simply reach out via our contact form and our team will re-activate your license for free.
Does NinjaTrader 8 have a split-screen or tiled chart layout?
No. NinjaTrader 8 workspaces save window positions, but each chart, SuperDOM, or analyzer stays a separate floating window. Chart tabs show one instrument at a time. NinjaTrader's own help states you cannot combine all open windows into a single parent window. Nexus Window Stacker fills that gap by holding up to 5 open NT8 windows in one resizable frame.
What is the difference between a NinjaTrader workspace, chart tabs, and Window Stacker?
A workspace saves which windows are open and where they sit on your monitors. Chart tabs keep extra instruments inside one window, but you only see the active tab. Window Stacker holds 2 to 5 already-open NT8 windows in one frame so you can see them at the same time, switch between 16 layout presets, drag dividers, swap panes, and release any pane. Stacked windows are locked in place automatically.
Does Windows Snap or PowerToys FancyZones work with NinjaTrader 8?
Often poorly. NT8 windows use DirectX hardware acceleration, so Windows 11 Snap and PowerToys FancyZones frequently leave gaps, miss zones, or refuse to snap chart windows. Window Stacker does not rely on OS snapping. It positions and locks the live NT8 windows inside its own frame.
How is Window Stacker different from Snap Grid for NinjaTrader 8?
Snap Grid (HTech) snaps each NT8 window to a grid zone on the monitor. The windows stay independent. Window Stacker holds up to 5 of those windows inside one frame so they move, minimize, and restore as a single unit, with preset layouts, draggable dividers, drag-to-swap, automatic layout lock, and individual release.
