Does NinjaTrader 8 have split screen?
No. NinjaTrader 8 does not tile independent charts into one parent window. A workspace stores where floating windows sit. Chart tabs keep extra instruments in the same window, but only the active tab is visible. NinjaTrader's own workspace help says you cannot combine all open windows into a single window. Window Stacker is the add-on that does that: up to 4 live NT8 windows inside one resizable frame.
NinjaTrader staff previously described an unreleased Multiple Document Interface that would "throw a handful of windows into a single parent window." That MDI container did not ship in NT8. See the official Workspaces article and the NT8 workspace forum thread.

No. Your charts, SuperDOMs, and indicators continue running normally. Window Stacker embeds up to 4 open NinjaTrader windows into one unified, resizable workspace container. You can choose from 15+ layout presets (2, 3, or 4 windows in grids, columns, or rows), drag multi-axis dividers, swap sides, or release individual windows whenever you want.
What types of NinjaTrader 8 windows can I stack together?
You can stack any 2, 3, or 4 top-level NinjaTrader 8 windows. Popular configurations include 4-chart multi-timeframe grids (e.g. Renko + Order Flow Delta + 1-Hour Trend + 5-Min execution), 2-window chart and SuperDOM pairs, or Market Analyzer alongside charts. The NinjaTrader Control Center stays separate.
What layout presets are supported in Nexus Window Stacker?
Window Stacker includes 15+ visual layout presets for 2, 3, or 4 windows: 2-window side-by-side and vertical stacks; 3-window columns, rows, and 1-hero + 2-sub stacks; and 4-window 2x2 grids, 4 vertical columns, 4 horizontal rows, 1-hero + 3-side stacks, and 3-top + 1-bottom layouts. All dividers can be dragged fluidly on both axes.
Can I create more than one window stack at the same time?
Yes. You can open as many Nexus Window Stacker instances as you need. For example, run one 4-chart grid stack on your primary monitor and a separate dual-window stack for correlated futures contracts or depth of market on a secondary screen.
Does Window Stacker introduce chart lag or latency?
No. Window Stacker utilizes native Windows OS window embedding. There is zero screen recording overhead, zero emulation, and zero chart latency. Your orders, candle paints, and data streams remain 100% native.
How does individual window release work?
The bottom toolbar includes dedicated Release buttons (Release 1, Release 2, Release 3, Release 4, and Release All). Clicking any release button instantly returns that specific window back to its standalone desktop state without disturbing the other stacked windows.
How do I install Window Stacker after purchase?
Download the ZIP from the Downloads page with the email used at checkout. In NinjaTrader 8, go to Control Center > Tools > Import > NinjaScript Add-On. Once imported, open it anytime via Control Center > New > Nexus Window Stacker.
Can I transfer my license if I change computers?
Yes. Each license is tied to your NinjaTrader Machine ID (found under Help > About). If you switch computers or upgrade your machine, simply reach out via our contact form and our team will re-activate your license for free.

Does Windows Snap or PowerToys FancyZones work with NinjaTrader 8?
Often poorly. NT8 windows use DirectX hardware acceleration, so Windows 11 Snap and PowerToys FancyZones frequently leave gaps, miss zones, or refuse to snap chart windows. Window Stacker does not rely on OS snapping. It embeds the live NT8 windows into one native parent frame.
